So it has come
to this.
I will hold on
to He who cannot be moved,
my Strong Tower, my
ever-present help in time of need.
And though, I may
cry out, with my being,
I will not be swept away.

Spiders
Posted in Poetry on April 11, 2009 | 2 Comments »
No one uses the
Old spider web
In the park, anymore.
ThatĀ tangle of red ropes
And metal claspes, reaching
For the tree tops, and the
Hidden moon.
There is only space
For two, up here
- Me and You.
From here, we can see
Through the tangle
Through the leaves,
Where we were.
And that where we are,
Is here.
Stains

Coffee stains, on the
side of the mug
And I imagine where
your lips were
placed, here, at
this edge, of the
rim
I came too late,
the coffee’s nearly
gone.

And with a pen
In hand, you
Marked me, with
Inklings of today
That only
You can see.
Goodnight

The hard part
Starts, after
I kiss you
Goodnight.
Heady

And if my headĀ
Is filled with you,
How do I turn
To other things,
When the thought
Of you, won’t
Let me go.
Strand

I found
A strand of
Your hair
On my bed
As I lay there
Somewhere
In the morning light,
And wondered, whether
To consider it
A part
Of you
Or just something
You
Left behind.
Inside

Fitting, perhaps
That for a
Singular moment,
We occupy the
Same
Space and time.
Finding

Here, is where
I find you:
In kisses, and
Sighs
In smiles
In tears
In music, and
Silence
In stories
In words
In sleep
In dreams
In coffee.

I’d be content
Just
To watch
You
Sleep.
